Nika Neelova's Solo Exhibition at Sir John Soane’s Museum

We are delighted to share that Nika Neelova, whose works are represented by our gallery, is opening her solo exhibition Through a glass darkly at Sir John Soane’s Museum, London.

Her new sculptural installation envisions the Museum as a space of transformation, where time collapses and layers of history intertwine. Developed during her Artist in Residence program in Spring 2024, the work takes inspiration from Soane’s visions of his Museum in ruins, his fascination with magic, and the dramatic, atmospheric lighting effects he created with colored glass.

The opening will be accompanied by a conversation between the artist and curator Yates Norton of The Roberts Institute of Art. Guests will have the opportunity to experience the museum after hours, by candlelight, view the exhibition from 6:30 pm, followed by the discussion at 7 pm, and conclude the evening with a drinks reception in the historic Drawing Rooms.
