Adrian Pepe wraps a building facade in Beirut with hand-felted wool

Adrian Pepe is preparing a new public art installation and exhibition ‘Entangled Matters 2.0’ at Villa des Palmes, Beirut. This installation will feature the entire villa’s facade wrapped in hand-felted wool, an often overlooked local material. In Lebanon alone, over 1,000 tons of wool are discarded each year due to a lack of demand.

The works showcased inside of the wrapped building will feature a series of wall hangings, sculptures, and a performance navigating themes of post-nature, reflecting on the hybrid codes and entanglements with other-than-human agents that compose our present moment.
