NIKA Project Space is pleased to officially announce its participation in Zona Maco 2025, presenting a curated selection of photography and digital art projects.

The booth will feature Alexander Ugay‘s multimedia series Unknown Return (2023), which reflects on the historical experiences of the Koryoin diaspora through AI-generated imagery and mixed media. Ugay’s work explores themes of memory, identity, and the intersection of history with modernity.

Polina Kanis presents Politics of Rotation (2023-2024), a project examining the ideological and physical dynamics of controlled systems through her long-term performance as a pole dancer. Her work interrogates power structures, gender politics, and the transformation of the female body in restrictive environments.

Christiane Peschek contributes two works from her series Transition (2023), which manipulate and re-compose visual representations of her figure in fleshy, synthetic-looking close-ups. These AI-generated pieces form part of her exploration into how a computer-generated world might evolve without human bodies as a physical blueprint.
